Colin and Leah

“Colin” has been calling Telecare for a few months. Debilitating health and the loss of a close friend have made him anxious and depressed. He reaches out to his family and to us. When he calls, he unloads his frustrations and worries, and expresses appreciation for our call responders who show compassionate care.


“Leah” grew up in a home where her alcoholic father beat Leah and her mother. Now in her middle years, Leah continues to distrust people. She’s single again, so reaches out to us to connect. Our call responders affirm who she is and validate how her childhood makes relating challenging today. She’s thankful we get it.

People like Colin and Leah are all around us. Ever wonder where they turn for support? Counselors and social workers can do only so much and are sometimes cost prohibitive. Telecare provides free supportive listening and referrals to agencies who can help.
