Telecare offers you a comprehensive, faith-inspired training program that equips you with the skills to become a compassionate, effective crisis line volunteer. Over seven weeks, you'll gain expertise in active listening, crisis intervention, and supporting individuals in their darkest moments—all from the comfort of your home via Zoom.
We’re thrilled to share that chat support is returning to Telecare, and our upcoming training will now include valuable insights on this feature.

Our next training session begins January 29, 2025, 7-9 p.m. via Zoom and each Wednesday following until March 12.
Training focuses on how to provide phone support and chat support.
Training consists of two parts:
1) working through our curriculum online week by week in Trainual and
2) meeting by Zoom with our trainers to discuss the curriculum and practice listening skills.
Sessions will focus on how to show emotional and spiritual support (if requested) for people struggling with the issues noted above. You will also learn about how to apply to become a volunteer, complete important forms, and move toward taking calls and chat messages. While training does not require service, we hope you will. You have so much to gain.
Volunteers need to be committed Christians, at least 19 years of age and residing in Canada.
You’ll gain access to materials, mentoring, and the Trainual platform. To do so,
