Enhance your listening skills

Join fellow volunteers from across the lower mainland for a fun and engaging morning to enhance your listening skills.


Are you a volunteer at an organization that supports people? Do you know friends or family who are volunteers? If so, this event is for you.


Join us on Saturday, October 14, 2023, for an engaging workshop on active empathetic listening, in-person at 2940 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford, BC (Columbia Bible College).


Registration

Registration begins at 8:30AM, session starts at 9:00 AM. Continental breakfast included.
Cost: $40 for Early Bird Registration through Sept 14, 2023.

$50 for registrations Sept 15 through October 14, 2023, and at the event site.

This event is for volunteers and leaders who support people in elder living, health care, social services, church work and more.

Facilitators

Wendy Toews, BA - Wendy has served as Telecare’s Listen Up! facilitator for five years. Her experiences as business owner and educator provide a basis for applying listening principles in real-world contexts.


Bill Strom, PhD - Bill helped develop the Listen Up! workshop out of his role as professor of communication at Trinity Western University. He also serves as Telecare’s executive director.
